Our Vision
Championing Creativity. Cultivating Change.
We seek to be a global catalyst for holistic prosperity, where art, intellect, and enterprise converge to uplift humanity. We envision a world in which every venture we hold becomes a force for physical vitality, spiritual growth, and intellectual freedom. By uniting diverse disciplines under one strategic roof, we create thriving ecosystems where visionaries can flourish, industries can evolve, and communities can thrive for generations to come.
Who We Are
The Uhuru Group is a portfolio of fourteen ventures unified by a single conviction: the future of leadership is bicameral.
The Uhuru Group, LLC was established in 2023, born from a prior venture that began this work in 2014. This company was built by two women who spent decades watching good leaders break under the weight of institutions that weren’t designed to hold them. The problem was never the people. It was always the architecture.
Rev. Oni Ojukwu Mantenso I and Dr. Shani Ojukwu Mantenso are the co-founders of The Uhuru Group and lead through a unified Office of the CEO, structured by the Bicameral Leadership Model™: Oni leads Strategy + Systems. Shani leads Culture + Integration. Two leaders, one compass. This is not co-leadership; it’s power truly shared. This is governance by design.

Why Now
Institutions are failing. It’s not because of bad leaders; it’s because of bad architecture.
Executive burnout. Succession instability. Cultural fragmentation during scaling. Mission drift under operational pressure. These aren’t leadership problems. They are structural ones. And they are accelerating.
Traditional governance concentrates structural authority and cultural oversight within a single executive role—then wonders why leaders collapse under the weight. The models we inherited were designed for simpler systems. The institutions we serve now are not simple. They are living systems: estates, foundations, cultural organizations, mission-driven enterprises navigating growth, transition, and increasing complexity.
There is no widely codified field that addresses this. No discipline that treats the soul of an institution as something as real and as tended as its bylaws. No practice that holds structural governance and cultural stewardship as co-equal, interdependent functions of institutional health.
That is what Living Governance names.
Not a service. Not a framework. A field as old as the first human being who looked at a struggling community and noticed that something in there had lost its aliveness. Every abbot. Every elder council. Every co-founder who understood that institutions breathe. They were all practicing Living Governance. But no one had brought the name forward… until now.
And we are building the infrastructure to make it durable: The Architecture of Stewardship™ as the proprietary method. The Bicameral Leadership Model™ as the delivery system. A decade of practice behind a young company. And a field that the world needs whether it knows the name yet or not.
