Our Ethos
The Uhuru Group is a Black woman-founded holding company with a portfolio of fourteen ventures spanning governance consulting, arts education, publishing, voice and narrative strategy, wellness, and creative production.
Born from a decade of practice, The Uhuru Group, LLC was established in 2023. TUG is led by Rev. Oni Ojukwu Mantenso I and Dr. Shani Ojukwu Mantenso through the Bicameral Leadership Model™: two leaders, one office. One holds strategy and systems. The other holds culture and integration.
We operate in a field we are defining: Living Governance, the art of tending institutions as living systems, where structure and soul are held in concert, by design. Our proprietary methods, The Architecture of Stewardship™ and the Bicameral Leadership Model™, are the structural engine behind every venture in the portfolio. We design governance systems for organizations, foundations, family offices, and estates that need to share power and scale without collapse.
